What was the inspiration behind the Sand and Pine logo?

Our logo, graphic design work on all branded materials, and website development was done by Ampersand Design Co., a local business located in Richmond, Virginia. Maddie went to college at Longwood University and met the amazing Ashlee and Travis Snider (owners of the private design company) there. They have remained great friends ever since. Ampersand Design Co. is amazing to work with, incredibly professional, and detail oriented.
When we were conceptualizing the idea for the Sand and Pine Co. logo, we had always envisioned a pine tree at the center of the design. We grew up in the Appalachian Mountains in Charles Town, West Virginia, so pine will always be near and dear to our hearts. Our parents just purchased a house in the Northern Neck area of Virginia where the Loblolly Pine is native, so Travis took the design inspiration from there and ran with it, hand drawing the tree, pine sprig, and pinecones for all our Sand and Pine Co. branded materials. We couldn’t be more excited with how they turned out.
He created the labels for our home fragrance line (candles, hand lotion, hand soaps, and linen sprays). Check out the labels he created here.
