Comfy, Cozy, Winter Finds

We grew up on the East Coast, and every winter our dad would build unnecessarily enormous fires that would be so hot they would make your face feel like it was melting off. As we have grown older and reflect on those fond memories, we still look forward to those times that bring us together as a family to sit in front of the fireplace. Just in time for fireplace sittin’ weather, we thought we’d share our favorite comfy, cozy, winter finds:
1. Extra Large Knit Blanket by Cozy Carmel
This amazing blanket is a great size and so soft (Pictured above, Maddie is curled up in front of her own fire with her dog, Giggs)! 2. Hand Woven Kate Oversized Pillow Taupe
Who doesn’t LOVE a floor pillow?!?! (no? just us? lol) At Sand and Pine Co, we get a little passionate about floor pillows. Growing up, our grandmother, LouLou, would never allow us to sit on the couch (don’t you know that couches are only for adults, not children?!). But, she always had the best floor pillows. Despite the LouLou imposed rule as children, we have grown to love floor pillows (Check out Maddie and cousin Lindsay getting cozy in front of the fire 🙂)! 3. Sand and Pine Co. Soy Wax Candles and Skeem Cloches
Candles just bring the coziness to a whole new level. We love a great candle, and our soy line of candles is just the thing to give your room that wonderfully cozy scent without being overpowering. We all are very sensitive to scents and our candle does not make your nose itch or give you stuffy sinuses. The 14oz honeycomb vessel with dual wicks looks beautiful and burns for an average of 70 hours. Our 10oz candle burns for an average of 50 hours. We have 5 different scents to choose from. We personally love to burn our Beneath the Pines scent throughout the fall and winter, but our warm, cedar, vanilla, and clove scented Hearthside Embrace candle line is also wonderful this time of year. 4. Roly Poly Decanters with Topper
Who doesn’t love a nice glass of red wine while you are reading your book in front of the fire? Our Roly Poly Decanters are gorgeous on any countertop. The small decanter can hold an entire bottle of wine. The larger decanter can hold more. The hand-blown glass of the decanter and hand crafted wooden toppers are made by artisans in Guatemala by the company Sobremesa by Greenheart. All of their products are fair trade and handcrafted to sustain both the artist and the environment.
5. Sand and Pine Co. Curated Book Collections
No cozy lounge session is complete without a great book. We love being surrounded by books in every room, which is why books make up a big part of our home decor. They create a calm, cozy, nostalgic feeling in any room. Our collections are hand-picked from antique stores by Sand and Pine Co and come in a rainbow of colors and deconstructed varieties (shown below).
