Our love of books

Our love of reading started at a very young age. Our grandmothers’ houses, Nana and LouLou, were always filled with books. Nana had shelves of children’s books and LouLou had shelves of cookbooks that we would pick off the shelf to help her cook holiday dinners and cookies. Papa would read Tom Clancy, and our dad would read nonfiction. Our mom, Nancy, would use books as an escape, sneaking out to the porch to read romance novels and get away from us four kids (something that Maddie, Sidnie, and Chloe have also come to love now that we have kiddos of our own)…

Books are such a big part of our lives and have made their way into our home decor. Whether it’s Maddie’s childhood favorites like Harry Potter, Nancy Drew, and Animorphs or her medical textbooks, Sidnie’s classics like Jane Austen, or Chloe’s Nicholas Sparks, we are constantly surrounded by books and include them in our libraries/offices, living rooms, and bedrooms. We love displaying books as monochromatic sets, assorted neutral colors, or with deconstructed spines to give them a more rustic feel.

Try out these different pictured styles in your home. We have a collection of curated books that can be purchased to fit with any style! Check them out!

We also love to celebrate our love of books by discussing our favorites at book club nights with charcutes and champagne. To help celebrate your book night, check out our charcuterie boards and accessories here!
